Card of Thanks

January 1, 2006

On this first day of 2006, I would like to take a moment and thank those folks who make it possible for me to keep on doing the work I love to do.

My dad used to say you are measured by the people you choose to surround yourself with and who you know. If that saying is true, I know I am in the presence of greatness! I would like to thank some folks who have and continue to make a huge impact on my life.

First, I need to give thanks for all of the beautiful and powerful women I am blessed to call sisters and friends. I can always count on y’all to cheer me up when I am down and set me straight when I need it. Each one of you is a treasure, unique and beautiful in your own way. I am honored and proud to call you my friend and my sister. Thank you for your advice, your wisdom, your friendship, your tears, your laughter and above all “keepin’ it real”! I love and appreciate each one of you.

To my husband Nate with whom I share my life with. Thank you for doing all of the things you do- all of the behind the scenes work of designing and programming the site, the creation of marketing and PR materials for me, and all of the other little things you do and for rolling with everything as we evolve. I am so grateful for your patience and your strength. Thank you for holding the vision of “Phoenix” and reminding me of it when I veered off course or when I could not see it for myself. “Phoenix” is my vision brought to reality. I could not have done it without you. I am blessed and honored to share this earth walk with you.

And finally -

To my clients, past and present, my deepest thanks to you for allowing me to be a part of your spiritual journey. I am humbled and filled with gratitude to know each one of you. May you be blessed beyond measure in the coming year.

Thank you for helping me to continue to live my dream!

Creation

"The very act of creating inspires us to create. If we do not create, we will not be inspired. Inspiration is the effect. Willingness and application are the cause. "

Truth...

"When you are willing to be truthful, you can change the way you think. Making things up only keeps you stuck in your fears and frustrations. It gives no answers but instead shuts the door to your future, whether that includes a new job, a new love, or a new you. "

Hurricane Help...

We continue to offer our prayers and support to all those who have been effected by Hurricane Katrina. I encourage everyone to donate whatever they can—be it financial resources, prayers, energies or volunteering to help those folks in need. This is a time when we are being asked to reach out to our American family members offering compassion, support and above all, hope.

Below, you will find a link to the American Red Cross to make a cash donation. There is immediate need for large amounts of basic necessities: food, water, blankets and medical supplies your donation will help to purchase.

Support the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund Today!

Volunteer Needs: Telemarketers to call for Donations, Food Solicitation, Volunteers who can offer shelter in their homes, Church Solicitation, General Office Tasking at our location, Fork Lift Operators, Car / Van / Truck Delivery, Council or Minister to Victims Shelter Services, Volunteer Coordination

The devastation from hurricane Katrina is heart-breaking. With water supplies running out and shelters bursting at the seams, people in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida need somewhere safe to go. But relief workers are struggling to find adequate housing for the one million people who've had to evacuate their homes. Because you live in the region, you could do a lot to alleviate this crisis by opening your home. Do you have an extra room, bed or couch where someone could stay? Post whatever you can offer at:
